Open Recipe Lab to explore how a recipe might look on your photographs. It is free, with no account needed. Your selected photograph is processed on your device.

Try a community recipe

  1. Choose a photograph or drag it onto the workspace.
  2. Stay in Try recipes and choose a community recipe from the list, or open Browse community recipes.
  3. Search in the browse view, or filter by film simulation or camera compatibility.
  4. Select a recipe and wait for the preview.
  5. Use the before-and-after slider to compare with your starting photo. You can hide the comparison when you want to see the result on its own.
  6. Choose Download photo to save the rendered JPEG.
The heart orders the currently loaded recipes by their like counts. Shuffle mixes that loaded selection. More recipes expands the available selection; neither control guarantees an ordering of the whole Recipe Room catalogue. The camera filter checks recipe compatibility with the selected model. If you include partial matches, review that label rather than treating the recipe as fully compatible. Community recipes are applied as shared; their settings aren’t editable in this mode.

Create your own recipe

Choose Create recipe, give the look a name, and choose a camera and film simulation. Adjust the available controls and review the preview on your photograph. Download recipe saves the custom recipe as a JSON file. Download photo saves the rendered photograph as a JPEG. Creating or downloading a recipe here doesn’t publish it to Recipe Room or save it to your account.

Supported photographs

Use JPEG, PNG or WebP files smaller than 30 MB, or supported Fujifilm RAF files smaller than 120 MB. Images must be no larger than 45 megapixels. Some RAF files may not decode in the browser; try a JPEG export if yours cannot be opened. Your original file is unchanged. A JPEG already has processing baked into it, so applying another recipe builds on that starting image rather than recovering the original sensor data.

What an approximate preview means

Recipe Lab recreates a look in software. It doesn’t use a connected camera and may differ from your camera’s JPEG, especially in white balance, texture, detail and settings that depend on capture conditions. Not every camera setting is simulated. About the previews explains the current colour, white-balance and texture limitations. Use the result to explore looks you might want to try, rather than predict an exact camera match. For Recipe Lab in the app, the plan is to let you connect a compatible Fujifilm camera and process supported RAF files through the camera itself. That camera-connected workflow is future work and isn’t part of the current website tool.

Your session and feedback

Your photograph and draft stay in the current tab. Download what you need before refreshing, closing or leaving; there is no automatic session recovery. See local processing and privacy. Play around, test it out and send feedback as we improve the tools and gradually bring these features into the app.
