Open Recipe Analyser when you’re at your computer editing photographs and want to check the settings behind a look. It is free and doesn’t require an account. This guide covers the website tool. The in-app Recipe Analyser also has account-based creation and saved-analysis flows.

Analyse your photographs

  1. Choose Choose photographs, or drag files onto the page on a computer.
  2. Select up to 5 original Fujifilm JPEG or RAF files, up to 80 MB each.
  3. Choose Analyse.
  4. Select a photograph to review its detected recipe settings.
  5. Use Copy settings or Download .txt. When several photographs have results, Download all recipes combines them in one text file.
Add photos adds to the current batch. Stop analysis stops processing without clearing the selected files. Clear all removes the current batch.

Use an original, straight out of camera file

The tool reads settings embedded in the file; it doesn’t identify a named recipe by looking at the photograph. Use an untouched file copied from the camera or memory card. Screenshots, social-media downloads, edited exports and some transfer methods remove the Fujifilm metadata needed for extraction. Even a JPEG with camera and exposure details can be missing its recipe settings. If a file has no useful recipe metadata, try the untouched original. If a result is Partial recipe, review the available values: missing or unverified settings stay missing rather than being guessed.

Recipe settings and capture details

The detected recipe can include the film simulation, white balance, tone settings and other supported Fujifilm values. Exposure & equipment shows the camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and exposure compensation where available. Capture ISO and exposure compensation describe that photograph. They aren’t automatically a recipe’s recommended ISO or exposure-compensation range.

Keep your results

The website doesn’t save an Analysed Recipe to your account or publish a Recipe. Copy or download anything you need before leaving. The leave-page confirmation protects an active session, but refreshing or closing the tab can still end it. See local processing and privacy for how your files stay on your device and how the website’s ordinary requests are handled.
