Creating an account gives you a public profile and lets you publish, save, collect, follow, and join conversations.

How to Sign Up

  1. Open Recipe Room and choose Sign Up.
  2. Continue with Apple or Google, or create an account with your email address.
  3. If you use email, enter your name, username, email address, and password.
  4. Check your inbox for a verification link.
  5. Open the link, then return to Recipe Room and log in.
Use the same sign-in method when you come back. For example, if you registered with Apple, choose Continue with Apple rather than starting a second email account.

Username and Email Rules

  • Your email address can only be connected to one account.
  • Your username must be available and is checked while you type.
  • Usernames are public, so choose one you’re comfortable showing on your profile.
  • Usernames must be 3–30 characters and can use letters, numbers, underscores, or full stops.
  • Your display name and username are different: the display name is how you introduce yourself, while the username is your unique @ handle.

Password Rules

Passwords must be at least 8 characters and include:
  • One uppercase letter
  • One lowercase letter
  • One number

Email Verification

Recipe Room sends a verification link after email sign up. If you can’t find it, check spam, junk, or promotions and search your inbox for Recipe Room. You can ask the app to send another link.

If Sign Up Stops Partway Through

  • If an email is already in use, try logging in or use Forgot Password.
  • If a username is taken, adjust it and wait for the availability check.
  • If the password is rejected, check all three password rules above.
  • If Apple or Google doesn’t finish, try the same provider again and make sure the provider is using the email you expect.
